Privacy Policy

Draft for review. This describes intended data practices. Confirm the actual hosting, authentication, analytics, email and payment vendors before enabling registration or checkout.

1. Who operates the service

Startacad is currently operated by Avishkar S. For privacy questions, contact sakfilings@gmail.com. The operator's service address has not yet been provided and must be added before public launch.

2. Information we may collect

Depending on the features enabled, we may collect your name, email address, account credentials (stored securely through an authentication provider), course enrolment and progress, assignment submissions, certificate details, support messages, payment status and limited technical logs. Payment card or UPI credentials should be handled by the payment provider; Startacad should not store full card credentials.

3. Purposes

Information is used to create and secure accounts, provide course access, record learning progress, assess stated completion requirements, issue certificates, respond to support requests, process payments/refunds through providers, prevent fraud and maintain platform security.

4. Payments and third parties

Payment processing may be provided by Razorpay or another provider only after account and website approval. The provider processes payment information under its own privacy terms. Hosting, authentication, database, email and analytics providers will be identified here before those services are activated.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may share the minimum necessary information with service providers supporting the platform, or disclose information where required by law or to protect users and the service.

6. Retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, legal obligations, dispute resolution and legitimate recordkeeping. We use appropriate safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security. Access to learner records should be restricted by role.

7. Your choices and requests

You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information, subject to legal retention obligations, by emailing sakfilings@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

8. Cookies and local storage

The current prototype may use browser local storage for demonstration progress. This is not a secure cloud learner record and may be lost when browser data is cleared. Any analytics or non-essential cookies must be disclosed and configured appropriately before launch.

9. Children

The service is intended for adults and is not knowingly directed to children under 18. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
